Our densest hardwood these logs are extremely heavy. While sun drying logs can result in color variation across the logs it is a lower energy form of drying and leaves the entire log at a far more consistent moisture content than force drying – but it takes some time! This firewood can occasionally spit, so is best used in closed appliances or where you have appropriate measures in place on your open fire. An extremely long and hot burn.

To keep your firewood dry, place these in a sheltered storage space with plenty of air circulation. Make sure that firewood is kept off the ground so that moisture doesn’t seep in.

This is how bulk firewood has traditionally been sold in the United Kingdom.
